The government has brought the budget of the Fiscal Year 2078/79 through an ordinance. 

The government has announced a budget of Rs. 16 Kharab 47 Arab 57 Crore for the fiscal year 2078/79. Out of the allocation, Rs. 6 Kharb 78 Arab 61 Crore has been allocated for current expenditure, Rs. 3 Kharab 47 Arab 26 Crore for capital expenditure and Rs. 2 Kharab 7 Arab 97 Crore for financial management. Rs. 3 Kharab 86 Arab 71 Crore has been allocated at the state and local level.


Following are the highlighted points of budget 2078/79:-

  • 26 Arab 75 Crore for purchase of vaccines
  • 37 Arab 53 Crore for the treatment and prevention of covid
  • 6 Arab 6 Crore for the construction of 396 basic hospitals
  • The budget of the Ministry of Health and Population is 1 Kharab 22 Arab 77 Crore


  • Government employees will get 10 days paid leave for tourism
  • Equalization and conditional grants: 93 Arab 82 Crore to the state and 2 Kharab 68 Arab to the local level.
  • Community, private hospitals will get 50 percent capital grant when connecting oxygen plants
  • The oxygen industry gets 50 percent discount on electricity
  • By increasing the allowance of women health volunteers by 100 percent
  • All senior citizens above 70 years of age will receive a monthly allowance of 4000

  • Free to 30 percent discount on electricity tariff during the Lockdown period
  • Maximum 25 Lakh concessional loan will be provided by pledging an educational certificate
  • 13 Arab concessional loan at 5 percent interest rate
  • Domestic consumers will be exempted from 20,000 liters of water monthly
  • Agriculture budget allocation 45 Arba 9 Crore
